What is a Good Faith Estimate?
As of January 1, 2022, Health Care Providers are required to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges for counseling services so there are no surprises.
While I am unsure of the frequency and length of our therapeutic relationship, to prepare yourself for the absolute maximum out-of-pocket cost, once-weekly appointments over the course of an entire year for an individual client would be $6,250 ($125/session x 50 weeks). For couples, once-weekly appointments over the course of a year would be $10,000 ($200.session x 50 weeks.)
This amount will change when you move to every other week or monthly sessions, but the above price is what you could expect for weekly sessions for a year.

What is your assessment/intake policy?
When you first reach out to me, I like to set up a 15-minute phone consultation so we can get a feel for one another. If you are part of a couple seeking therapy, I ask that you both take part in the phone call.
For individuals, our first session is about getting to know you and your goals for therapy. I like to know about your important relationships, your background, people in your life, your stengths as well as your struggles.
For couples, my assessment is longer. I will meet with both of you for an initial session where I ask a series of questions to get to know you and the relationship. The next session is for each member of the couple individually so I can understand more about what makes you, you. Then, I will send you an online assessment that will provide me with additional information to help with your treatment and goal setting. The final assessment session is for all three of us and I will go over the results of the online assessment, the individual sessions and our treatment plan. You are involved in the process every step of the way.

Do you accept insurance and what is a superbill?
I do not work with insurance companies, and all my payments expected the day of our appointment. I accept credit cards, debit cards, HSA cards, and cash.
I can provide you with a superbill, which is a detailed, itimized reciept for you to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to find out what they will reimburse if you choose to work with an out-of -network provider.

What is the cancellation policy?
Please understand that when you make an appointment, I am reserving that time for you. If you miss an appointment, that is time that could be spent with another client and it is necessary for me to charge for missed appointments. There will be no charge if notice is given 24-hours before the session, however if you cancel with less than 24-hour’s notice, you will be billed at my full session fee of $125/60-min session and $200/75-min session. I give every client one “freebie” because I know life is hectic, but after that, you will be charged for missing your appointment.
